The Race

I found some chart maps of the lake and used some photos that were taken at the Atlanta Yatch Club Race a few weeks ago. I love the combination.

Sunny Side Up

I can't always get outside to paint so sometimes I go for simple things around the house like ....breakfast!

Up The Creek

I was painting in the North Georgia mountains this weekend. It was such a delight. The mountain streams are so clear and beautiful this time of year.

Another beautiful day at the lake. I really loved the translucency of the water in this one.

A Day At The Lake SOLD

I am working on a series of lake paintings for our upcoming show in Gainesville. This is one of several. Tomorrow the Atlanta Yatch Club is holding a race at Lake Allatoona. So I am hoping to do a couple with beautiful sailboats in them.

Canning Day First Place Winner At Under The Influence Show

I would love to say these are homegrown tomatoes. They are not. These are from the local farmer's market. I thought the color was a great play against the aqua blue Ball jars. I am very tickled to announce the painting won a first place ribbon at the Under The Influence Show at the Tannery.

Painting The Region

I was recently selected to participate in "Painting The Region" for a week long event in Jacksonville, Florida. They have also selected one of my paintings for the cover. A percentage of all the sales that week will benefit the North Florida Land Trust. Jacksonville is a wonderful art city and I am looking forward to painting the town.

Warm Winter

This is an old farm down the road. I love the rich red color of the barn against the pristine white house. It is almost a blessing to get a red light in front of it so I can admire it for a moment.

5th Annual Historic Buford Plein Air Festival

We hosted the 5th Annual Historic Buford Plein Air Festival this past weekend. We had over 35 artists from around the
Southeast paint with us. The artists were great sports fighting with the uncooperative weather. We had a great turnout
for the reception and the first painting to sell was to 10 year old Grace, a new art collector, she was saving for a basketball
net but had to have Holly's painting instead. I hear it was hung right after the reception Saturday night.

Solids and Stripes

Solids or Stripes? In my case there is no preplanning on which ball drops in the pocket first. Pool shark I am not. I'm better at observing and painting pool balls rather than playing. I do love how glossy these pool balls are. The way they reflect the light and each other made them a delight to paint.
