Off To California

I am happy to announce these two little ones are on the way to see the "King" of California. They were selected for Randy Higbee's 6"Square. It is a wonderful show. There are over 500 6x6 inch fabulous little gems from artists all over the country.

Demo At First Coast Pastel Society

A big thanks to the First Coast Pastel Society for hosting me last weekend in Ponte Vedra. What a wonderful enthusiastic group of pastelists! Their fearless leader, Lyn Asselta, drug me down dirt roads and forced me to paint some of Florida's hidden treasures.....white sands, turquoise blue waters, purple muhly grass, amber marshes.....it was torture. What a wonderful week.

Along A Quiet Street

I just got back from a fabulous trip with my mom. Walking down the cobblestone streets and viewing the majestic homes(and okay maybe the food) really enriched our stay in Charleston. There were glimpses into these beautiful vignettes around every corner. Can't wait to go back.

Doors To The Run

On my husband's bucket list has been to "run with the bulls" in Spain. These are the beautiful doors that led to the start of the race. Yes, he did run... not once...but twice!! He can run....I'll paint.

Summertime

I had worked this photo before as a pastel and decided to try it again with oil. I always loved the beautiful saturated color in this composition.

Waiting For Water / Happy 4th!

This is a small 6x12 painting I did today for the 4th. I am celebrating with these little pops of red. Love how the geraniums are lined up on the bench waiting for water.

New Beginnings

Simon, the dog, found this nest in his backyard. What a wonderful treasure! Three beautiful mocking bird eggs laid in the most intricate nest of pine straw, wheat, string and twigs.

Hydrangeas

My daughter had thrown a baby shower and had these beautiful hydrangeas leftover. I arranged them in one of my potter friend Judy's vases. I love the play of celadon against the blue and the warm background.
