Summertime

I had worked this photo before as a pastel and decided to try it again with oil. I always loved the beautiful saturated color in this composition.

Waiting For Water / Happy 4th!

This is a small 6x12 painting I did today for the 4th. I am celebrating with these little pops of red. Love how the geraniums are lined up on the bench waiting for water.

New Beginnings

Simon, the dog, found this nest in his backyard. What a wonderful treasure! Three beautiful mocking bird eggs laid in the most intricate nest of pine straw, wheat, string and twigs.

Hydrangeas

My daughter had thrown a baby shower and had these beautiful hydrangeas leftover. I arranged them in one of my potter friend Judy's vases. I love the play of celadon against the blue and the warm background.

Landscape Connections

I am thrilled to be participating in a new show 'Landcape Connections". I have been blessed to be plein air painting with three remarkable artists on a weekly basis. These beautiful woman and I are combining our work for a show at the Atlanta Atelier on Miami Circle. Opening reception is May 17th from 12-4. Come join us!!

I just got back from 5 days at a beautiful old plantation in South Carolina. Incredible creek views. I will post the finished piece later.
