Mill Creek

As I have mentioned before I paint with a group of painters once a week, "plein air" or on location. We make small studies of our location, the light, and colors. This is from this week's trip to Roswell Mill. It was a beautiful location in the heart of the city.

Met some friends at the lake early one morning. We all painted different views. This is amazing group of painters that allow me to tag along.

Gwinnett Parks Plein Air Challenge

We have been out in the local parks painting. We are having a show of everyone's wonderful works. Join us at Tannery Row September 14th from 3-7pm for a wine and cheese reception.

Smaller Paintings

I have been working on several large paintings lately and decided to do some smaller ones for a change of pace. Here is a sneak preview of 2 of the 8 I recently finished. These are 4 inches by 12 inches. I love to work out compositions and color studies on this smaller size.

California Coast

We spent a day driving along the coast when we were out in California. Beautiful images are still running through my mind so I am excited to finally get some down on canvas. Still tweaking this one but wanted to share my progress.

Anne Irwin Emerging Artist Show

I am very excited and honored to have been chosen for this years Anne Irwin's Emerging Artist Show. Opening night is Friday, August 9th from 6-8:30 and runs until August 31st. If you are in the area come join us. There will be an abundance of fabulous art and talented artists.
